Pondicherry University becomes more iconic for the digital age

The Vice-Chancellor of Pondicherry University,  Prof. P. Prakash Babu, inaugurated two selfie points at different locations across the campus. These are designed to foster a sense of institutional pride and belonging among students. “We want our students to carry memories from this place—where they spend some of the most formative years of their lives,” Prof. Babu said.

The idea is to allow students and scholars to capture moments of joy, achievement, and friendship, thereby deepening their emotional connection with the university.

The day concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Sibi P.S., Deputy Dean – Students’ Welfare. He highlighted how these new facilities would significantly enhance the co-curricular ecosystem at Pondicherry University, supporting holistic learning and personal development.

The ceremony was attended by a host of dignitaries including Dr. Tharanikkarasu, Director – Studies; Dr. Clement Sagayaradja Lourdes, Director – Culture; Dr. Rajneesh Bhutani, Registrar (i/c); Dr. Vijay Kumar, Librarian; along with Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members, administrative staff, and a large gathering of students.
