A Victory March For Nation’s Heroes

Pondicherry University hosted a Tiranga Victory March to commemorate the success of Operation Sindoor, by the Indian Armed Forces. The event, held on 17 May 2025, was a testament to the university’s unwavering support for the nation’s defence forces.

The rally commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by Chief Guest, Shri. K. Kailasanathan, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry & Chief Rector of Pondicherry University, also officially flagging off the procession. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. Prakash Babu, Puducherry Home Minister Shri. A. Namashivayam, Thiru. P.L.M. Kalyanasundaram, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly (Kalapet) along with university faculty, staff, and students, participated in the march.

The Tiranga Victory March not only celebrated the military’s strategic success but also reinforced the university’s commitment to fostering national pride and solidarity among its community members.
