Light for the Lost: A vigil at Pondicherry University

On April 23, 2025, students and teachers of Pondicherry University gathered for a vigil honouring and mourning the fallen at Pahalgam.

This meeting was organised by the Teachers Association and headed by Associate Professor Praveen Kumar from the Physical Education Department. All the teachers came together, each one holding a candle, and their faces softened in the hot, bright hue of the flame. They stood together in silence and shared for a moment to remember the innocent lives lost in Kashmir.

The gentle flames whispered secrets of hope, weaving tales of confidence, unity, and compassion across the canvas of sorrow.

   In response, this little light at the University of Pondicherry became a powerful reminder: even in the dark times, a candle shines brightly as much as it brings people together.
