Eid in Frames: A Celebration of Faith, Food, and Festivities

Eid al-Fitr is  a day to proclaim messages of brotherhood and equality in the midst of the sacredness of fasting. With a renewed sense of vigor in mind and body, every believer bids farewell to Ramadan, enters the month of Shawwal, and celebrates Eid al-Fitr. People celebrated Eid by attending Eidgahs, sharing sweets, renewing friendships, and visiting relatives. In Pondicherry town Eid prayers were held near the Gandhi statue at Rockaway Beach from 7 am. This time, people are celebrating the festival after completing the 29th of Ramadan. May this Eid be accompanied by prayers for the people who are suffering from poverty in life.
