Guest lectures held in Department of Biotechnology

Department of Biotechnology, School of Life Sciences, PU, organized  guest lectures by Prof. Manoj K Dhar, Director, School of Biotechnology, University of Jammu, on ‘Plant metabolites: carotenoid biosynthetic pathways’ and by Prof. C. Ramaswamy, former Vice-Chancellor, Alagappa University, on ‘Biology and Genome of White Spot Virus’ on 4 October 2013. Dr. Anil K. Suresh, Beckman research Institute, USA also gave a lecture on ‘Engineered Nanoparticles for Targeted Therapeutics’

 A guest lecture by Prof. H.S. Prakash, University of Mysore, on ‘Molecular diversity of Viruses’ was held on 11 October. A lecture by Prof. Appa Rao Podile, University of Hyderabad, on ‘Biotechnological approach for production of chit oligosaccharides’ was held on 28 October.
