IAWRT – Breaking Boundaries

A video report on the inauguration of the first IAWRT-PU Asian Women’s Film Festival held on 15 and 16 of March in the SOM auditorium, Pondicherry University. Present on the occasion were filmmakers and media practitioners Leena Manimekalai, Reena Mohan, Nupur Basu, Aditi Chitre, Jai Chandiram R V Ramani,and Rashmi Sodhi. Also present was internationally renowned scholar, dancer and activist Dr. Anita Ratnam along with journalist Vanessa Able and other guests.

The Inquirer was officially launched at this event by Prof. J A K Tareen, Vice-Chancellor, Pondicherry University. Students’ animation films were also presented which were produced in an intensive workshop with award winning animation filmmaker Aditi Chitre.
