During the event, he elaborated on the background and vision behind the formation of the Board. The regulations guiding the Board have been carefully framed, drawing from best practices followed at other central universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe primary objective is to maintain discipline on campus and ensure a code of conduct among students,\u201d he said. Prof. Y. Venkata Rao, Dean of Students\u2019 Welfare, added that the formation of the Proctorial Board is in accordance with the Pondicherry University Act, 1985.
