With a renewed sense of vigor in mind and body, every believer bids farewell to Ramadan, enters the month of Shawwal, and celebrates Eid al-Fitr. People celebrated Eid by attending Eidgahs, sharing sweets, renewing friendships, and visiting relatives. In Pondicherry town Eid prayers were held near the Gandhi statue at Rockaway Beach from 7 am. This time, people are celebrating the festival after completing the 29th of Ramadan.
