Students of the physics department who were the backbone of Reflections<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

Reflections is an annual science program hosted in Pondicherry University by Department of Physics in honor Sir C V Raman and his contributions to the scientific world. This year the festival was organised from 21 – 28 February, 2014. 28 February is also celebrated as the National Science Day in India. The inauguration was held on 21st at 3.30 pm. Prof. Balakrishnan, Director, Pondicherry University inaugurated the function. <\/span><\/p>\n

Many interesting events were conducted as part of this program like Ask an expert, Treasure hunt, General quiz, Group discussion, Junkyard science, Poster competition etc. Students and scholars from various departments actively participated in all the events. The valedictory function was held on 28 February, 2014 in the Seminar Hall in the Department of Earth Science. Prof. (Mrs.) Chandra Krishnamurthy, Vice-chancellor, Pondicherry University.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Prize distribution ceremony was held in the \u00a0Seminar hall\u00a0department of the Earth Science Department.<\/span>\u00a0The chief guest,\u00a0<\/span>Prof. (Mrs.) Chandra Krishnamurthy<\/span>, Pondicherry University, did the honours of distributing the prize. The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Dr Alok Sharan.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>The reflection came to an end with a cultural program performed by the students of the Physics Department.<\/span><\/p>\n
