They are one of the most popular talked about symbols of the Buddhist religion. The mandalas are simple works of art that have been created with various colors, shapes and different concentric figures. The works of art, no matter how varied, all work on the same principle of geometry; a geometry that according to Louis is sacred.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/puinquirer.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Mandalas005.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-1\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2484 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/puinquirer.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Mandalas005-300x118.jpg\" alt=\"Mandalas005\" width=\"300\" height=\"118\" srcset=\"https:\/\/puinquirer.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Mandalas005-300x118.jpg 300w, https:\/\/puinquirer.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Mandalas005.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The color symbolism as is popularly known is: <i>White &#8211; Vairocana<\/i>: The delusion of ignorance becomes the wisdom of reality; <i>Yellow &#8211; Ratnasambhava<\/i>: The delusion of pride becomes the wisdom of sameness<i>; Red &#8211; Amitabha<\/i>: The delusion of attachment becomes the wisdom of discernment<i>; Green &#8211; Amoghasiddhi<\/i>: The delusion of jealousy becomes the wisdom of accomplishment;<i> Blue &#8211; Akshobhya<\/i>: The delusion of anger becomes the mirror like wisdom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Louis is a painter and sculptor who lives in Auroville. He is credited for initiating the first art gallery of Pondicherry, Satsanga, which is also a popular restaurant of the city. Louis of Auroville has been indulging in the art of the mandalas for the last six years. Some of his works on display at Aurodhan Gallery were the \u2018Essential Mandala\u2019 and the \u2018Flower of Life\u2019 which according to him is very conducive for enabling concentration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">On display were also little lamps made out of fiber by Louis of Auroville which also reflected the sacred art of the mandalas. According to Louis, the lamps, and their light all help him, and other people in general to meditate and to concentrate on work.<a href=\"https:\/\/puinquirer.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Mandalas001.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-2\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-2478 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/puinquirer.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Mandalas001-300x180.jpg\" alt=\"Mandalas001\" width=\"300\" height=\"180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/puinquirer.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Mandalas001-300x180.jpg 300w, https:\/\/puinquirer.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Mandalas001.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Lalith Verma of Aurodhan Gallery confessed that he was indeed proud to have Louis\u2019s art put on display in the gallery.
