It was inaugurated by Dr. J. Balachander, Medical Superintendent, JIPMER. It was organized for the resident doctors and medical officers of various medical institutes and hospitals of Puducherry. It was conducted to enlighten the delegates on the challenges posed by the disease.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Dr. Gideon, Deputy Director, PACS informed the gathering about its recent activities and Dr. Anil Purty, Professor, Department of Community Medicine, PIMS, discussed the social stigma associated with AIDS\/ HIV. \u201cAntiretroviral Therapy (ART)\u201d was discussed by Dr. A. Hamide, Professor of Medicine, JIPMER.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Distinguished speakers from different fields delivered lectures and interacted with the students.
