\u201cFeminine fables\u201d, an exhibition of paintings by artist Vinita Vasu, explores the veiled life and inner strength of women wearing the purdah<\/i> and ghunghat<\/i>. This exhibition is curated by Pankaj Mistry, who is also an artist.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gazing at the world beyond<\/p><\/div>\n

The paintings of Vinita Vasu give a glimpse of the feminine through various size and forms. In almost all of her paintings women are portrayed as fighters and survivors. Vinita\u2019s body of art work is known for exuding reflections of women with power and strength. The women in her canvases are found to share hope and contentment, attributes which have been associated with the feminine gender since time immemorial.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vinita Vasu was a native of Kerala but is now based in Delhi. She is a self taught artist. Vinita developed a keen interest for art from her school days and was known to excel in all kinds of fine arts competition. She is now working as an Art teacher under Columbia group of Schools in West Delhi and participates in many solo and group exhibitions. Her numerous works can be found in various institutions across the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition is being held in Artika Caf\u00e9 Gallery, Labourdonnais Street, from 14th<\/sup> of February till 13th<\/sup> of March.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
