Saravana&#8217;s iron sculpture &#8211; New life<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">A thematic art exhibition inspired by &#8216;Nature and its five elements&#8217; was organised by Tasmai Cultural Centre during the month of January, 2014. The exhibition showcased various artistic works like paintings on canvas; paper, and wood fired stone wares, photographs, murals etc. This exhibition was a conglomerate of different art forms, featuring 35 exhibits by 13 artists who had expressed their take on the five elements of Mother Nature. Their reflection of nature and its central elements is produced on canvas or paper by using ink, water color, pigments, acrylics, oil or mixed media. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">D. Saravana, uses iron as his form of medium. His sculpture, aptly titled &#8216;New Life&#8217; signifies the growth of a plant, from a seed to a tree with the help of Mother Earth. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Antra Sinha and Ray Meeker produce various sculptures and forms with the help of fire.
