A film festival on Kashmir

The Department of Electronic Media and Mass Communication (DEMMC), Pondicherry University in collaboration with FD Zone Mumbai organised a one-week film festival on Kashmir named ‘Kashmir Before Our Eyes’ from 2 to 6 September at the SOM Auditorium. This festival of films on Kashmir had screenings of documentaries, features and short films.  After the screenings discussions on Kashmir were facilitated by Ajay Raina. The festival was curated by Raina, a national award winning filmmaker and co-ordinated by Ms. Radhika Khanna, Asst. Professor DEMMC, Pondicherry University.

The festival was immensely successful in terms of audience response. Lots of students of the university, especially from Kashmir, regularly visited the film festival and actively participated in the discussions.
